The mission of Haven Developmental Care is to provide a system of care for Individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disability, so that they can become integrated into the wider community, with a great degree of quality and life enhancement skills. We believe that Individuals must be equipped with all of the necessary skills through relationship building and community integration, regardless of the severity of their disability, or challenging behavior.
We believe that practicing the basic principle of human service: tolerance, empathy, advocacy and empowerment, enables us to provide holistic care to Individuals with Intellectual and developmental disability.

Haven Developmental Care’s services focus on the person’s whole life. We help build and maintain long term relationships with our Individuals and their family.
Individuals at Haven Developmental Care receive a personal needs assessment at the beginning. This helps us to maximize the supportive services Haven will provide when Individuals live with us. The result of the assessment allows us to create individualized activities that promote goal achievement and personal interests.
From the beginning, we have always promoted and exhibited the highest quality of care. We work with the family members to develop the Individualized Service Plan. We provide resources on the many systems that help us in our partnership in providing holistic care.
